A very dark pouring beer with an even darker colored head. The Peche Mortel has a sharp coffee smell but not to overpowering. A tasty beer however it does have a bit of an after taste. The after taste is not bad, not good, but just there. The panel had its mixed feelings as to how it felt but overall it was a nice solid brew.
