Ok, seriously? Again? We did some research on the web and found the general consensus seems to be that taxes are going up again on beer makers, be they small craft brewers or major leaguers like Anh-Busch. It looks like taxes will go up to about two bucks per case for the brewers, who are going to mark up their prices to the distributors, who in turn will do the same to the sellers, which means we as consumers are going to be paying a lot more for what we love.
Now, we don’t know the level of validity for this, but we read that the taxes are being raised to compensate for the cost of the new health care bill. Its seems to be a pattern of late that Washington wants to raise the “sin” taxes more and more.
