This should make you smile, or cheer, or maybe shed a tear. Remember those miners in Chile who got trapped when the entrance tunnel collapsed? Thirty-three of them, stuck in a cramped, dark place with no food. But get this, when the rescue crews finally bored a hole down to them and established radio contact, guess what they asked for. That’s right, a nice cold brew! And why not? I know i’d be hunkering for some hops if I was stuck down their with them.

Seriously, there are a lot of people helping out and the families are started to feel better now that they have contact with their loved ones. Of course, in addition to a good cold beer, the rescue crew is sending down neccessities like food, water, toothbrushes, etc., but we know the important stuff is beer, right?

In all seriousness though, this is a horrible tragedy that befell these men, and we hope they remain doing well and get out as soon as possible and reunited with their families. Hang in there, hermanos. With our glasses raised, our hearts go out to you.
