More people are choosing to drink KC’s Boulevard and other craft beers at home rather than the more traditional beer choices. Bull’s VP of sales, Bob Sullivan, says, “Although the on-premise bar and restaurant business is still relatively soft, people that would typically buy Boulevard when they go to a bar are consuming more at home now, but they’re choosing to consume our beer at home.”
I don’t know if this means that people are starting to choose style over habit, or if they’re just tired of drinking the same beers all the time. I know that I tend to stick with Bud when buying at home, but more and more often end up taking craft brews to BBQs and other parties. Good luck to Boulevard and all you other craft brews out there, hope the trend keeps up for you.

I think this has to do more with buying local. I have noticed that in the food industry more and more restaurants are choosing to use local goods rather than having them shipped in from a national HQ. I am glad that despise the slowish economy that Craft Breweries are thriving. They keep brewing we will keep buying. Cheers to you MR/Mrs Craft Brew Guy/Gal.
